Terms of Service

These terms apply to consultation, valuation and software services provided by Aarne Kalevi Halen, operating as a sole proprietor ("I", "me", "we", "us").

1. Services

We provide pricing consultation, valuations and custom pricing software for sellers of second-hand and collectible goods. The scope, price and delivery time of each engagement are confirmed in writing (usually by email) before work starts.

2. Payment

Prices are in US dollars. Payment is due before the report is delivered or the consultation takes place, by card or bank transfer. Card payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider, whose name may appear on your statement.

3. Cancellations and refunds

• Consultation calls can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed time, with a full refund.
• Valuation, audit and software work can be cancelled for a full refund before work has started. Once work has started, we refund the unused portion pro rata.
• If a delivered report contains a clear factual error, tell us within 14 days and we will correct it free of charge or refund the fee.

Refunds are made to the original payment method within 10 business days.

4. Nature of valuations and software

Valuations and pricing recommendations are professional estimates based on market data available at the time. Prices of second-hand goods change, and actual sale prices depend on condition, timing and venue. Our reports are not a guarantee of any sale price and are not financial or investment advice. Custom software is delivered as agreed in the project quote; you own the delivered code once it is paid for. Third-party data sources and marketplace APIs may change or stop working, and maintenance after handover is a separate engagement.

5. Your information

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data and descriptions you provide, and for having the right to use any marketplace accounts or data you give us access to. We do not take possession of your goods.

6. Liability

Our total liability for any engagement is limited to the fee paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect losses, including lost profits from buying or selling decisions.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the business is registered.
